At this point, I don’t know if Hermie has romantic feelings for normal but I do think every night he goes to bed and dreams about normal getting turned into a rat or a worm or a lizard or something like that and keeping him in a terrarium on his bedside table and being so enraptured watching him that he forgets to feed normal and so every night in the dream he watches him wither away and die of starvation. Okay this might be my favorite theory ever.
